You can't force fate

Decisions are a constant aspect of our lives, sometimes involving choices that are right or wrong.

 The choices we make endure, and we assume their weight as if they had been chosen by us beforehand.

 And yet, we did.

 I don't know if my decision was the right one, or if yours was.

Nevertheless, we are where we are, and the question is not about saying what is right or wrong. It is about life itself.

 That life that lingers still ahead, that we have to unravel. A life that always deserves to be discovered and deciphered, and that we have to choose, again, for and by ourselves.

 And, from now on, this is what I propose to you:

 You must stop blaming yourself for your choices.

You must stop demanding that he excuse himself for not doing precisely what you wanted him to do.

 You cannot force him to annul everything that has happened, and stay away from mere words of his for which your chest would burst into pieces just hearing them: "be happy".

 You cannot move love to be fair, much less turn back the clock and not have your heart broken.

 You can't force yourself and their life together.

 From now on, you must leave behind his eyes and his perfect, slightly crooked smile.

 You will always remember the way he looked at you, but you will have to find better things to do with your time than glorify the past.

 It's a good thing you ended up in different corners, because that's how God intended it to be.

 I think you deserve someone in your life who will never waver, someone who is 100% sure you are the one.

 Someone who loves you to the moon and back, someone who will stand by you no matter what, even when you're a complicated mess.

 When you cry for no apparent reason and when you scream at the full capacity of your slightly damaged lungs, and even when you can't get out of bed because you feel like the weight of the world invaded your dreams and you need a day to get the sadness out of you.

 I know that deep in your heart you still have faith, that you still have love to give.

 Maybe you need to take some time.

 Don't hold back the tears.

 Don't try to hide every bit of your expression because it seems inconvenient and weak to the outside world.

 Live with it.

 Endure it.

 Write some poetry if you wish.

 Visit a bookstore. Smell the whole worlds created by the most extraordinary minds.

 Open them.

 Read the lines.

 Live in the story.

Find peace in the invented universe.

 Smile and don't force someone's timeline to be yours.

There will come a time when that timeline aligns with someone as extraordinary as you and it will be destiny.
