A poetic tale that will teach you a lot
Decisions are an inherent part of our existence, sometimes leading us down the right path and sometimes not.
Our choices accompany us over time, and we carry them as if we had always known they would be ours.
And indeed, that was the case.
I don't know if my choice was the right one, nor can I determine if yours was.
The truth is we are here, and the point is not to judge what is right or wrong. It's about living. That life still stretches out before us, ready to be explored. A life worthy of being discovered and interpreted, once again chosen by and for ourselves.
So I suggest to you now:
It's time to stop blaming yourself for the decisions made.
Stop expecting endless apologies for past thoughts, simply because they did not act according to your desires.
You can't erase everything that happened or distance yourself from words that would tear your heart apart to hear: "be happy".
Love cannot be forced to balance itself or go back in time to prevent a broken heart.
You can't merge your life with theirs against their will.
Now you must move beyond their eyes and that perfectly imperfect smile.
You'll remember how they looked at you but you need to use your time better instead of idealizing the past.
It's beneficial to have ended up in different places; that was the divine plan.
I firmly believe you deserve someone strong by your side; someone one hundred percent sure of themselves.
Someone capable of loving you to the ends of the cosmos; who will stand by you no matter the circumstances - even when you are immersed in your deepest complexities.
When you cry for no apparent reason; when you scream releasing your wounded soul; and even when you feel a paralyzing heaviness facing the day - that necessary day to air out your inner sorrows.
I know deep inside you there is still faith - love ready to be shared again.
Maybe you need to give yourself your own space.
Allow the tears to flow freely.
Don't hide every emotional fragment just because it may seem inconvenient or fragile to others.
Confront it.
Resist.
Allow yourself to write poetry if you wish.
Explore bookstores. Feel the universes born under extraordinary pens.
Open those worlds. Read between the lines. Immerse yourself in those lives.
Find tranquility within the created cosmos Smile and understand that you shouldn't force your personal timeline onto another person.
Your moment will come where paths will intersect with someone as exceptional as you – this will be destiny
Letting destiny flow
In a world where stress and anxiety seem to follow us at every step, learning to go with the flow of destiny without forcing it has become a life philosophy for many. To better understand how we can adopt this mindset, I spoke with Dr. Ana María González, a psychologist specializing in mindfulness and personal development.
"The idea of going with the flow of destiny," Dr. González began, "does not mean giving up on our desires or ambitions. Rather, it is about learning to navigate life with an open and receptive mind, freeing ourselves from excessive attachment to specific outcomes." This distinction is crucial because it suggests that we do not have to be passive in life; instead, we can act intentionally while remaining open to different possibilities.
When asked how we can start this process, her response was enlightening: "The first step is to practice acceptance. Accepting that we do not have total control over external events frees us from the burden of trying to manipulate every aspect of our lives." According to Dr. González, this acceptance not only reduces our distress but also increases our resilience in the face of unexpected challenges.
Another key component is staying present. "Living in the present moment," she said, "is essential to going with the flow of destiny. When we are anchored in the now, we are less likely to get caught up in worries about the future or regrets about the past." Regular mindfulness practice can help us cultivate this ability to remain present and receptive.
However, what happens when we face difficult decisions or crossroads? Dr. González suggested trusting more in our intuition: "We often underestimate the power of our inner voice. Listening to our intuition can guide us towards paths that may logically seem risky or illogical but are right for our personal growth."
Finally, I asked about the fear of change or the unknown, a common feeling when going with the flow of destiny. Her advice was inspiring: "Accepting that change is inherent in life helps us embrace it with curiosity rather than resist it with fear. Each change brings new opportunities for learning and growth."
Going with the flow of destiny involves a delicate balance between action and inaction; between making plans and being open to the unexpected. As Dr. González points out: "It's not about giving up the helm but rather about navigating with mindfulness and confidence in the changing waters of life."
This concept may be one of the most liberating and challenging to incorporate into our daily lives; however, by following these guidelines shared by Dr. González, we may find a path towards a more fulfilling and harmonious existence with our surroundings.
